A STYX system always follows the same design principle. At the heart of the system is the Infrastructure Server. The ‘Light’ version is equipped directly with five outputs (channels) and a fast ‘Out’ output. The 19” version is connected to a 19” network connector and also features five outputs and the fast ‘Out’.
The setup always proceeds from Infrastructure output CH1 in ascending order, with the shortest target distance (e.g. 10 m) to the furthest (e.g. 50 m). The targets are followed by the displays and monitors. These, in turn, follow in ascending order of the outputs, including athletes’ monitors, lane scoreboards, etc.
If more than five types of devices are used, a further network connector is connected to the ‘Out’ port.
The diagram illustrates the cabling configuration.
