Exchange / Replace of STYX devices

In the Range Configurator there is the possibility to exchange or replace units.

Exchange – Replace
Two identical devices, which are both already configured, are exchanged between two lines.
Example: Target 5 is exchanged with target 6. Afterwards, target 5 is on line 6 and target 6 on line 5. In this way, interchanged devices can be assigned to the correct line without having to change the devices/cabling. Attention: If the wizard for configuration is started again, it must be remembered in this case to exchange the lines again.

Replace
A configured device is replaced with an identical non-configured device.
Example: Target 5 is replaced by a new target. The new target is then the 5, the old target is no longer configured.
Note: A replacement is usually recognized automatically by the STYX system. This means that a defective device can be easily replaced without manual intervention in the Range Configurator. The new device automatically takes over the configuration of the old, defective device.
